The Oasi Faunistica of Vendicari, in the territory of Noto, is a natural paradise. The five-kilometer itinerary will stun the visitor with marvelous beaches, rocky coastlines overlooking the sea, a 15th century fortified tower and the old tuna-processing factory that had been recently restored. Moreover, this area is a favorite rest stop for the migratory birds that head towards northern Europe. Some species such as grey herons, black and white storks and flamingoes, nest in these places and find their perfect natural habitat. The reserve is provided with observation huts located along the marshes.
